STEM – Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math – careers are growing at 17% year over year and have become a key component in U.S. economic growth. As employers demand for mathematicians and engineers has grown, so too has the availability of STEM education programs. These programs provide students with opportunities to carve out a future job in a well-paid field. Even an entry-level STEM job earns1, on average, 26% higher salary for positions requiring a bachelor’s degree; and there are 2.5 times as many entry-level STEM jobs to choose from, as compared to non-STEM jobs.
