The mission of the program is to encourage talented high school students enrolled in the 9th, 10th and 11th grades to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.It gives students the opportunity to take college level courses while still attending high school. The program also offers students the ability to do research in a college environment. The STEM Institute prepares students for the greater demands of college-level study and helps them adjust to campus life. It offers academic and tutoring support services designed to help students prepare for these new challenges.
