Forsyth Tech is a partner institution of the NC STEM Alliance, whose primary goal is to increase the number of students successfully transferring to four-year institutions with a program degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) disciplines. The Alliance is led by Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC) with Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC) as an additional partner institution.

A "school within a school" serving approximately 100 in each grade level (grade 6 through grade 8). STEM Early High School offers a full range of rigorous educational opportunities in science, mathematics, language arts and social studies. WELCOME TO STEMSCOPES SCIENCE LEARNING UNLOCKED

It is the goal of STEMscopes to provide an inquiry-based curriculum, which incorporates the research-based, constructivist phases of the BSCS 5E Instructional Model (Bybee et al., 2006). The development of the STEMscopes 5E+IA model in the delivery of science online curriculum takes into account the research of the National Research Council in their publications How People Learn (2000) and How Students Learn Science in the Classroom (2005).

Wolf Trap’s Early Childhood STEM Learning Through the Arts

Early Childhood STEM Learning Through the Arts (Early STEM/Arts), provides unique arts-integrated content, which includes 16-session classroom residencies, multi-day integrated art/math training workshops, peer-sharing of instructional strategies and one-to-one mentoring and coaching with a Wolf Trap teaching artist. The Arts & Science Council’s North Carolina Wolf Trap is one of 17 Affiliate partners throughout the U.S. that is now primed to implement Early STEM/Arts in early childhood classrooms in the community.
